Visa and MasterCard assessment charges for rewards, corporate and foreign credit cards are passed through at true bank interchange cost with no additional markup.
Is there really no monthly cost?
There is no setup fee if you are an X-cart customer, and absolutely no monthly fee if you process $1,000 or more per month. There is a monthly minimum fee of $35 which only applies if you process less than $1,000.
Keep in mind that $35 is a worst case scenario, and would only apply if not a single transaction is processed during the month. All discount rate fees that you pay during the month are fully credited towards the $35 minimum. For example, if you process $500 during a month your minimum that month would only be $17.50.
To understand it, just take the amount of money you process during a month, and multiply it by the 3.5% discount rate. $500 x 3.5% = $17.50 in fees paid that count toward the $35 monthly minimum. When you process $1,000 or more the minimum is completely eliminated.

How Long Does It Take?
It will take between 5 to 7 business days to receive your merchant account. Once you receive your merchant account X-cart support is available to assist you with the neccessary configuration settings to connect your X-cart store to your new merchant account. The process is designed to walk you through every step of getting your store live from start to finish. To get started you need to fill out the X-cart application form and submit the details of your business.
