Demystifying e-commerce vlog series: The components of an e-commerce transaction.

This is the first in a series of vlogs that are intended to demystify e-commerce for business owners. We want to tackle the most commonly misunderstood issues, as well as topics that merchants bring up time and again.

In our first entry in the series we discuss what makes up an e-commerce transaction. We break the e-commerce transaction flow down to it’s components to help you understand how your website ties together with the payment gateway, and how it results in funds flowing though your merchant account before being deposited into your business bank account.

Want to know more?

If you want more information on this topic we've since recorded a newer video that sheds light on the difference between a merchant account, a payment gateway and a payment processor.
